Hi all
I have a Beogram 3300 that I found was making a noise which worsened as the arm neared the end of the record, so was nearer the centre of the platter. As well as the unpleasant rubbing nose, the speed of playback was being affected.
I've looked inside and I've found that the pulley for the arm's wire drive is making contact with the underside of the wheel that sits below the platter, but only when the arm is nearer to the centre of the platter.
I have tried adjusting the platter height with the three screws (as detailed in the service manual), but that raises and lowers the whole thing, so makes no difference to the distance between the wire pulley and the wheel.
Does anyone know if there's an adjustment I can make to prevent this problem?
