Hi all, Can't quite find the right word for what the sound is doing, so used "croaking", but maybe that isn't quite the right word. I have a 3300 I am trying to bring back into my active appliances, and while the MMC4 cartridge seems to be OK (yay!), there's something off with the tone arm balancing I think. The best way I could describe it is if it's floating above the record - when I put the weight around the middle, it'll literally skip parts, and if I set the weight to the maximum, it will mostly play sequentially, but it still sounds like there are frequent croak-y / harp-y skips along the track (but not sideways, in other words, the track plays correctly all throughout - just sound drops along the way). I feel like having the weight on the max setting is also probably not the correct way to operate it in the long run, either. What should I adjust / calibrate for this to improve? The rotational speed seems fine (songs sound exactly as supposed to), so I think the belts and oiling seems to be in good shape otherwise.   Thanks for any advice!
