Hi
Upon recaping BG8000 PCB I spoted a broken resistor at R25, it is snap in half.
I presume its better to replace it but I wonder what function does it have.
As a side note the lamp at the tracking sensor is dead and the arm does nt move more than a few cm in the plater without returning to the starting point... is there any connection with this broken resistor ?
Any information its very welcome
Kind regards
Vasco

The resistor works in the circuit providing a slower forward towards the lead-in groove.

You should be able to as that transformer was used on may models during that period. Since failures are rare, what type was it? If it was the wrong voltage selected (over-voltage) I would replace the power supply components as well. The caps in any case.
The beolab1700 is type2605 , and the Beocenter 1400 is type2604 , or do you mean the type of transformer?
