BeoSound Essence + Beolink Converter NL/ML + ML system : unexpected shutdown...

Hello Beoworlder, Some problem here with the integration of a Beosound Essence mk2 with a legacy Master Link system. Here is my Master Link configuration: MAIN ROOM
  • Video Master: Beovision 7 40 mk6 (Bluray) + Beolab 7.1 (v.option 1)
  • Audio Master: Beosystem 7000 + Beolab Penta 3 (a.option 1)
LINK ROOM 1
  • Beolab 3500
LINK ROOM 2
  • Beovision MX 7000 + BL Video (no local sources)
LINK ROOM 3
  • Beolink Passive + ir eye + CX100
As for ML sources it goes as follows (down below in bold the focus of this topic…): TV – video streaming box (stb) DTV – satellite receiver DVD – B&O BV7 internal Bluray V.TAPE – B&O HDR 1 V.TAPE2 – Beocord V8000 RADIO – Beomaster 7000 FM A.TAPE – Beocord7000 CD – Beogram CD 7000 PHONO – Beogram 7000 A.TAPE2 – Beosound Essence mk2 (connected to TAPE2 input of the BM7000) A.AUX – Beolink Converter 1611 to Master Link cable With this configuration, to play webradio and/or Spotify from BS Essence from any room I have to:
  1. Press A.TAPE 2 on Beo4/BL1000/Beo6 for “opening the channel”
  2. Get my phone (android) and
    • for WEBRADIO (B&O Radio) : activate the BS Essence via the current Bang&Olufsen android app and/or
    • for Spotify: open my Spotify premium account via Spotify android app and connect to BS Essence to play music.
I have recently added a Beolink Converter NL/ML to control the BS Essence from the Master Link side, in particular for skipping step 2 with Webradios, and it works perfectly: when I press A.TAPE 2 (see the step 1 above) the Beosound Essence switches on and Webradio (B&O Radio) starts playing and I can switch all the preset channels with B&O remotes arrows up/down. ----- In this new configuration, the problem starts when I try to play Spotify from my smartphones . When BS Essence is playing from Webradio, I can connect Spotify to BS Essence (from any device), the BS Essence starts playing Spotify but after some seconds the entire MasterLink system (NOT the BS Essence … ) switches off  . Is there any setting in the configuration of BLC (or in BS Essence) in order to avoid the switching off…?? At the moment the BLC is set as follows: With the system behaving like that, at the moment it's become impossible to play Spotify. Many many thanks for your help !!! mauro

there is something very odd in your both pictures of the settings of the BLC (Beolink NL/ML converter).
  1. the first picture says the BLC is set as AMaster
  2. but if it is set as AMaster, you can not get the second picture. These setting option is only available when the BLC is set as VMaster.
On the ML side there only can be one A.Master and one V.Master. So the BLC can't be either! On the ML side: there can only be one global source (a source of a AMaster or VMaster). So only one N.Music (=A.Tape2), one PHONO (=N.Radio), one CD, etc. so there could be a limitation.
