Pairing Beoremote One with Beocenter 2300

Hi, my Beoremote One is paired with  Beovision 11-40, and I would also like it to work with my BeoCenter 2300. The Br1 manual has a section for this but it is not easy to understand…
  • I have added it as a ”Beo4 Product” to the BR1 LIST, but I then also need to set up the BC2300 to the right Option (1, 2, 5 or 6 according to the BR1 manual). How do I know which one??
  • When ”pairing”, should the BC2300 be turned on or doesn’t it matter?
The BC2300 is currently controlled ny a Beo4 remote, and I want that to keep working in addition to the BR1 if possible.

If the BC2300 works now with your Beo4, you do not need to change its Option (probably #1). As you have read, you need to set up the Beoremote One to send IR commands.   There is no "pairing" of the remote to Beo4 Audio devices; pairing is a Bluetooth concept.  It just spits out the IR codes and whatever can see them reacts.  Thus your Beo4 will continue to work with the 2300.  (I *only* use my BR1BT in IR mode, so I don't know if it switches back and forth between IR and BT automatically for MUSIC vs. TV.  Hopefully someone else will advise.)
Thanks a lot, I will try to make the BR1 send signals to “Beo4 Audio” then, there is a section on that in the manual.
