Beolab 8000 MK1 Foam Replacement – Original Foam Specs & Templates?

Hey everyone, I’m planning to renovate a pair of Beolab 8000 MK1 speakers. From what I understand, I’ll likely need to replace the internal foam damping material since the original foam tends to deteriorate over time. Does anyone know the technical specifications of the original foam that Bang & Olufsen used?
  • Foam type/material
  • Density
  • Thickness
My idea was to buy a larger foam sheet and cut the pieces myself instead of buying the pre-cut replacement kits, since those seem fairly expensive. Also, does anyone happen to have:
  • Templates or blueprints for the different foam pieces?
  • Measurements or diagrams for the internal foam layout?
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi Leo, I know this dosn't answer your question, but take a look here: https://www.dksoundparts.com/product/damping-foam-set-pair-for-beolab-8000/ /steffen
