I tried posting this in the Beolab sub-forum but I’m getting no response so re-posting here… I have recently refreshed a set of Beolab 8000’s. They both had faults so I opened them up, cleaned out the old perished foam and thoroughly cleaned the PCB’s etc. Both have been re-damped and now function and sound great but one of the speakers refuses to go in to standby when the signal stops. I have read and searched and searched but all of the power issues seem to centre around the speaker not functioning with a bad standby trafo, so not the same issue! Help!
