Beocenter 2 issue
7 replies
Hi all
My beocenter 2 has developed a fault. When I press load the wings open but the clamper doesn’t lift....... if I press Load again, the clamper lifts and then automatically closes then wings close. I’ve left it unplugged for a bit but no difference.
any ideas?
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. Did anyone there ever manage to figure out what is an issue here?
Thanks,
Henryk
Hi,
I think I found solution to it (I have to test it). Looks like issue is with belt that moves wings:

Here are some information about the belt itself: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beocenter-2-cd-tray-belt/
It can be procured from here: https://www.beoparts-shop.com/product/belt-for-beocenter-2-motorized-doors/
I'll do that and hopefully this will solve the problem here.
Thanks,
Henryk
Be avare that the belt Beoparts are selling is for the wings, and that might solve the problems.
The belt I mention in the thread you are linking to is for the CD clamper, where the issue in my case was that it did not close enough to hold the CD in. This belt however can not be sourced from Beoparts, so I had to find one on Ebay.

You need a service manual too, and Kose Trading has a Youtube video how to dismantle it.
I have replaced these belts too, the clamper belt was hard to source but I got it from a dealer who was not alowed to sell it on…🤐
I still need a fix for the sticky clamper, there seems to be a fix for it, but I haven’t found it.

I cleaned the sticky coating on both the clamper and the bottom of the of the BC2 with 99% isopropanyl alcohol. It took a lot of rubbing. Hi,
Thanks for all your advice's.
I can confirm that replacing belt fixes the issue with clamper not opening up properly.
Replacement belt can be procured from here: https://www.beoparts-shop.com/product/belt-for-beocenter-2-motorized-doors/
Instruction how do disassembly it can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro6QUI212gk If unit didn't have some challenged past life opening up is actually quite simple. To replace belt someone will have to:
- remove left and right wings (ideally disconnect cable to right wing as well),
- remove display (cables can stay as they are, no need to disconnect them),
- remove right wing gearbox cover. Belt is located under this cover.
