Beocenter 7007 sound quality

Hi, I have a vintage Beocenter 7007 which i have owned for a number of years. A couple of days ago I turned on the radio which worked but with a lot of interference from the speakers. I tried all radio channels, the tape deck and the record player all with the same interference. To eliminate a possible problem with the speakers and wires, I disconnected the speaker wires from the back of the unit and plugged in some ear phones to the phono plug. These also gave the same interference. I did notice that when I plugged in the earphones, whilst the speakers were still connected, the unit also played through the speakers. Normally when the earphones are plugging in, the speakers should mute. Possible problem in this area ? Could some perhaps help with rectifying this problem?
Hello, maybe could you start with checking power supplies capacitors? Maybe start with those which look like suspicious?
