My recently acquired Beocenter 8000 is in good working condition and while it sounds pretty good through the RL 1000 speakers that came with it, I'd quite like to add a sub-woofer. I have a couple of sub-woofers already including a Cambridge Audio Minx X301 and a Bose powered Acoustimass system with a couple of their small loudspeakers. Both of these require line-level inputs and I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the use of one of the many speaker to line output converters that are available - the last thing I want to do is damage the output stage of the amplifier.
