Hello
After many years of disuse, I tested my parents' Beocentre 7007 recently (during house clearance after my father's death) - purchased in the 1980s
Still works OK - except speaker cone surrounds (Beovox CX 100) are perished
I am happy to replace these with 3rd party speakers but the cables have bespoke plugs at each end
Is it possible to use 3rd party speakers with this unit, and if so what converter / replacement cable would we need?
I don't really want to spend £100s on replacement CX100s (or rennovate them) - we have a spare pair of decent bookshelf speakers to replace them (space is limted in their future home)
Also it has original MMC5 cartridge/stylus, so this will need replacing at some point - any advice on this please?
Thanks
Beocentre 7007 advice please

Hi,
I hink the plugs you are referring to is a 2Pin DIN Male Plug Hifi Loudspeaker Audio Connector For B&O Speaker. That is the description i put on ebay.
And for stylus you can get from soundsmith here is the website link https://www.sound-smith.com/bo-replacement-cartridge-models
Beware it's not cheap.
Regards,
Teddy
