Beoenter 9300 Faults

I recently bought a sick 9300.  It has the following problems which may or may not be attributable to a dead lithium battery.  Hoping someone can help?
  1. When turned on and any input source selected the volume sets itself to MAX.
  2. Any settings I input when I use it are not saved.
  3. I only get output from one speaker channel, swapped speakers etc.
I have it plugged into a pair of Penta 3s and fed from an apple airport to stream from Soundcloud which is exceptional when turned up.  Nothing to do with the snags just wanted to spread the love I'm feeling for my Penta!!

First two in your list are quite probably due to failed battery (hence not storing start up volume). Third problem may be mute relay failure, but not if happening with powerlink outputs (if that's what Penta 3s use). Mute relay failure is usually confirmed by connecting speakers to Speaker 2 sockets, as the mute relay only effects speaker 1 outputs.
