I have a PSTN Base that has a couple of 6000's and a 2 attached. I also have a 1401 connected to a separate BT socket in case of power failure.
Problem is when I want to use the base with VOIP. As per a different thread here: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beocom-6000-and-virgin-voip/ I have the same problem where an incoming call is dropped immediately (outgoing works fine) and I'm using a Cisco SPA112, the same as @keith_saunders uses though mine is with voipfone.co.uk.
When I connect the 1401 it all works fine so it would appear the base is the problem.
Earlier comments provide a solution when using a VOIP adapter to ensure you're using a 4 wire RJ11 to BT adapter to connect the base to the VOIP adapter. I see that the RJ11 to BT adapters that come with the SPA112 seem to be 2 wire, so I presume these could be a problem? However, my base station cable has an RJ11 to BT adapter on it, so if I remove this I can plug it directly into the SPA112 via RJ11 and bypass the adapter altogether. This doesn't help - same situation with incoming calls dropped. Whilst I see some have managed to get this to work I wonder if obtaining a 4 wire adapter will help when considering I can plug the base into the SPA112 directly?
Are there any settings applicable to the SPA112 to work with the base?

I don't yet have VOIP, but I just checked my Beoline base and note that its RJ11 connector only has two-wires connected (to pins 3&4) . In my case these go via an adaptor to pins 2 and 5 of the BT master socket.
Given that the RJ11 connector on B&O basestations only has two wires connected, I don't see how a '4 wire adapter' will help. As far as I can see the only other connection variation is to 'reverse' pins 3 and 4.
Have you tried the VOIP adaptor and base station without the BeoCom 1401 connected?
I assume that you have googled the problem but have you seen the following 'AI Overview' suggestion?

Log in to the Phone Adapter Configuration Utility
Select Voice then Regional
In the Ring and Call Waiting Tone Spec area, select an option from the Ring Voltage drop-down list

Click Submit to save the configuration

I've recently received a reply from Voipfone technical support after I explained what kit the SPA112 is connected to and they wanted to make sure I am using an RJ11 to BT socket adapter that includes a Ring Capacitor. I'm not 100% sure what mine are (came with the SPA112 so could be US), so have ordered some from a link they supplied:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000Q4X9PS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks like many on amazon don't contain the ring capacitor.
I haven't used the 1401 at the same time as the base station as I haven't put a splitter on the adapter. Voipfone support spent quite some time checking/configuring the SPA112 so I doubt I can make a difference with changing the settings but I'll see how the new adapters work first.
