Hi all
After moving house I finally got around to setting my Beosystem 5000/5500 up again. For the first days my Beogram 5000 (the radial arm version) worked just fint, but after unplugging the system from the mains and plugging it in again it suddenly worn't lower the arm onto the record when pressing play, as if the servo have blown or something. it just hovers above the spinning record.
Is this common, and what may the problem be?

The easiest first check is to make sure your counterweight has not moved. Is the arm able to go down by adding more tracking force?

I tried adjusting the weight, it does not make any difference but the arm is able to go down if pushed slightly with a finger.
I have the same problem, it happened all of a sudden, frustrating.
