Beogram 6006/8000/8002/TX creaking dustcover hinge
5 replies
Hello,
I'm restoring a Beogram TX, and I'm having an issue with the dustcover hinge - it creaks loudly when lifting/lowering it.
I've dismantled the hinge several times, tried adding some lubricant between the plastic guide and the plinth, but it doesn't help.
I noticed in an article on Beolover's site, that there should be a teflon strip between the plastic guide and the plinth main body, which presumably allows the guide to slide more smoothly; howeer this is absent on my Beogram. Does anyone know the size of the teflon strip and how it is attached to the plinth - presumably some type of glue? The service manual is of no help here
Thanks in advance
Pete

Hi Yann,
Yes, I have seen that. However, as far as I can see this does not include the Teflon strip.

Pete
The teflon sheet is apprx. 2 x 3 cm.

Thanks, Martin.
I've replaced the teflon, and problem is now solved.
