BeoGram 6500 erratic behaviour

Hi All, I am reaching out again with hope one of YOU may have answers ?? the BG6500 plays but here is what happens: randomly the PU arm is dropping about midway on its return once the record has been finished - why ?? all cam-wheels have been adjusted perfectly - there are no signs of obvious damage. is it at all possible that the uP is faulty ? I’d really need some help here - somebody please 😁 ALF
Hi All, surprisingly no replies yet ? This issue is as interesting as it is annoying. in the meantime I scratched my head over that activity diagram in the SM which I am sorry to say is not quite clear to me ?? it looks like the issue can be avoided if I catch the PU arm before it goes into automatic return mode at the end of a record by activating STOP manually which is odd. as stated previously: the magnet in the coils is fine and moves freely caps are replaced voltages as specified are present. i noticed that the two plastic levers (arms) at S1 and S3 which get operated by the magnet piston have different part numbers - i wonder if the one at S3 if the correct one stopping and freeing the associated camwheel as that wheel keeps still turning when it should actually be blocked from further rotation hence blocking the PU arm lowering ?? sadly I am unable to compare that lever. i am aware this is at this point just a theory but as everything else is working as it should my money is still on a mechanical problem. please do chime in if you can - surly someone can, its THE B&O forum after all. Hi, i have decided to offer the Beogram for parts as I am unable to fix it. obviously no one else has a clue either  of what could be the problem which is surprising to say the least. there is no faulty component I could identify, no dodgy solder joints no mechanical breaks whats left could only be the microcontroller chip but without a replacement anywhere to be found. its still good for parts with new belts, upgraded RIAA board etc. thanks to “unknown” followers alf
