Hi
I just bought a cd5500 and open up the hood.
Someone put a 100K resistor between emitter and collector on TR5 (PSU).
Anyone know why?

Seems that is was indeed not done at the factory (not properly bend). Maybe you could download the service manual and looking where it is in the diagram to clear things out
Trouble is, B&O regularly sent additions to their service manuals. Perhaps this mod was done after one of them, who knows.
