Hi!
I have a 1986 Beosystem 5500 in white but unfortunately, the CD player (Beogram CD 5500) has a faulty part that I am looking to replace. My B&O service center sent me the below email plus picture. I am hoping anyone can help me source this part. I would be eternally grateful! I am located in Belgium.
This is what they sent:
"You will find attached the laser kit dismantled.
This kit is supported by four rubber mounts that act as suspension, keeping the mechanism at an optimal distance for accurate CD playback. Over time, these rubber mounts can loosen, causing the laser kit to be improperly positioned.
In your case, one of the mounts was completely torn, leaving the kit supported by only three mounts.
This explains the intermittent playback issues you’ve experienced.
For optimal repair, it would be necessary to replace all four mounts to restore the required rigidity and precision.
Unfortunately, these parts are currently unavailable from all our suppliers."

One of the site sponsors, Danish Sound Parts (see the link down below) has the part you need:
https://www.dksoundparts.com/product/disc-drive-suspension-rubber-repair-kit-for-beogram-cd5500-cd6500-cd7000unfortunately not in stock, so am still looking.
I recall seeing a post where the person built a new suspension out of generic parts. You may be able to find it by searching both the current and the older forums.

The drive suspension kit should be available again shortly from Danish Sound Parts.
