Hello, new member here.
I have a Beogram 8002 given to me by my father years ago. I had it serviced then, and after using it a few years I put it in storage, until recently when I set up a second system. I find when recording to cd the recording is noisy, as though there is bearing noise coming through. I dont remember the noise before.
I am interested in any opinions, and if lubrication is necessary, I ask for a little hand holding. I am not familiar with this deck. And the service manual does not help. Other than the noise the deck works well and I wouldn't want to ruin it.

It would be best that you post a sound clip of the noise as it’s too generic to assist. I would suggest to record with the tonearm lowered next to the record and also in a a silent groove to compare.
Unfortunately I didn't know how to record and post a clip. After researching and concluding I was not qualified to work on this deck, and there not being an option for local service, I decided to put it back in storage today. I lifted the platter to tighten the shipping locks and it turned out I had not loosened them when bringing the deck back in service. I loosened them up and the thing is nice and quiet as it should be. I feel a bit like an idiot, but am glad it worked out ok.

Plus you can rest assured someone out there will read your response to your own thread and check their own transport screws only to find they had the same issue. It's all helpful 😃
