Beolab 8000 Damping Material

Hello B&O fans, I notice most of the Beolab 8000 MK 1 version has the problem of rotting damping material inside.  I have a pair of Beolab 8000 MK2 with serial 20959413, anybody knows if this MK2 has the same problem?  I understand that the problem will eventually cause harm to amplifier and power supply board, therefore I want to know if I need to replace the damping material.  Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Peter
Hi Peter, no issues with the type of foam in your speakers. BeoLab 8000 MK I has the improved type of foam, much better resistant to temperatures caused by the internal amplifier and PSU. So, no problem.

Hello KolfMAKER,   That's great, my speakers are no need to change the foam.  Thank you so much for your comment!
