Beomaster 5000 amp and beolab 6000 speakers

Hi, looking at floorstanders to replace my C75s and so considering the Beolab 6000. My question is if I connect using the pre-amp output can I control the volume using the Beomaster?

Hi! Cool to hear this works for you. Can you talk me through the cable setup you used to connect the Be centre 5000 to the Beolab 6000 speakers.becsuse whatever I do I get crazy loud humming especially when the Beocentre is on standby. Thank you! Phin
