Many years ago I had a pair of Beolab 2500s that were made around 1996 or so.  I am now using a pair that date from 1991, and notice that the relay is quite a bit louder when the system turns on or off. Not knowing that much about relays, I was wondering whether modern ones are quieter in general -- or if it's a function of improper mounting, current passing through, or something else?
