Masterlink to rca

Hello. Is it possible to get the audio signal out of masterlink and convert it to standard phono/rca? I am helping a friend setting up his audio system, he wants to connect a Beosound 4 (as cd player) to a Dennon amplifier, but the 2 devices are not located next to each other. There is a masterlink cable running between them and it is not possible to replace it with a phono/rca cable. Would it be possible to use a "Beolink Converter 1611" for this? Best regards Stefan

Hi and welcome to Beoworld! The Beolink Converter 1611 would not be any help in this setup.  Masterlink audio connections need to be activated and controlled by B&O equipment at the 'receiving' end of the connection. I assume that the BS4 and Denon amp are in the same room and that the BS4 has no other speakers connected? I can see two options:
  • Use Masterlink to connect the BS4 to a Beolink Active 1636 (and IR sensor - the 'hockey puck' type) co-located with the Denon amp.  Then use a cable like
