Hi, the round spinning dial on my master control panel 5500 has stopped working. All other functions & buttons work. I opened it up & tried 99% iso swabbing the 2 contacts that touch, when the dial is spun either direction, but it didn't make any difference.

It could well be a faulty (or dirty) opto-coupler - have a look at this thread (and the pictures attached to some of the posts):

Ah: found this thread on the archived forum, looks like it's the microswitch as the unit doesn't respond when I spin the dial:
