Adjusting treble, bass and balance on Beomaster 5000
8 replies
Hi
I have recently bought a Beomaster 5000 and hooked it up to my Beovox S45 speakers and Philips 677 turntable. The sound is a little flat and I want to adjust the bass and treble, but it seems as it can only be done from the Master Control Panel 5000. I have tried to push the 'neutral' button which helped a bit, but i would like a bit more bass and maybe a little less treble - especially when listening to records. Is there anything to do other than buying the Master Control Panel 5000?
Thank you in advance
Welcome to the forum JMK. There seems to exist a ‘converter’ according to this older beoworld thread: https://archivedforum.beoworld.org/forums/p/12394/92008.aspx Not sure if that device would also translate Beo4 or BeoLink 1000 tone adjustment signals. The manual found here does not mention tone adjustment. https://beo.zone/media/files/Bang-Olufsen-Beomaster_5000-Owners-Manual-2.pdf
I think Matador gives the best advice.

It doesn't seem to support tone adjustment. Maybe I should just buy the MCP5000
No. Only MCP5000.

A Terminal 5000 can't be used?
All right, thank you, Matador
