EDIT: worked out didn't need to remove the front panel but instead the frame bar running behind the tuner dial that the blocks of button keys are screwed too also. So answer no longer needed
I'm trying to remove the front panel from my Beomaster 1000 (type 2301, so very first type of the white key version) but I'm stuck. Does anyone know how it actually comes off ?
I've removed all the buttons plus the four screws (2 either side) from the wooden ends of the panel but it seems to have some other fixing behind the middle of the panel that I just can't see. The panel will slide up & down a millimetre or two, as if there's something in a slot (??) but not out/off. I can't see another fixing from any angle around the middle part.
I need to get the front panel off so I can remove the back plate of the tuning dial and access the two dial light bulbs and FM stereo indicator bulb all of which are underneath it.
