Beomaster 3000-2 Won't Power On

Hi, I have a Beomaster 3000-2 which won't power on. The receiver was working fine, but the connector for my Beovox 2500 cube came slightly loose from the back of my Beovox 3000. When I pushed the plug in firmly, there was a "pop" from the speaker and the receiver went dead. No lights, no sound, not even a hum. I'm based in Bangkok where most techs won't touch B&O gear and the local B&O dealer doesn't fix vintage gear, so I may be stuck fixing this myself. Any advice on what to look at first? Thanks for any insights!
Have you checked the fuse as the load surge may have blown it?
