Beomaster 8000 start-up & memory issues

Hi All, my BM 8000 has a couple of issues: first the start-up: when turning on the unit I have to hold down any source key (fm, tp1/2, ph) until the unit fires up. we are talking about a US model which I operate with a step-down transformer and keep wondering if the issue is cause by a lack of current, supplied by that step-down transformer and can a change of fuses help here ?? second the fm pre-set memory loss: after confirming the 5V supply voltage at 9IC6 is present I suspected a faulty IC, replaced that one with the same issue remaining ? I can tune in fm station in auto and manual tuning mode and try the programming procedure but no luck, it remains at 87.5 kHz. what did I miss here ? would be great if some of you could shed some light on those issues thank you ALF
no one’s git a “light” ? I was under the impression those issues are not that rare or are they ?
9IC6 could of course be a chinese counterfeit chip and with the supply voltage present
it would sound more  likely  unless the source of the memory loss is elsewhere.
com’on guys I am really struggling here
