The BS Encore is an ir-controlled products.
Be sure that the Essence remote supports ir modes (the first versions did not).
Then switch it to ir mode - see here:

Seems that not all can see the pic/screenshot, that I postet previously.
Tried to convert (from png) to jpg - maybe that is better.

Do you know how to stand out the first versions of the remote with the later versions?
Is there any specific characteristic that you can see by looking at the remote to understand the different version?
