Hello everyone, I recently bought a second hand Beosound 9000 which apparently only had a problem with the CD player lens.
When I turned it on, the glass lid did not open, it sounds like a humming noise but it doesn't move. I read in the documentation and saw in videos that it is possible to open it manually.
I have not been able to open it manually, the mechanism is stuck. I have tried carefully and with the force that seemed more than enough with both hands, one on each end. I even almost lifted the beosystem off the table, I don't think that much force is necessary.
I know that to disassemble it I first have to remove the glass cover, but if I can't open it I can't access the screws to remove it.
Has this happened to anyone? Is there anything else I can try? I'm afraid I'm stuck too.
Thank you so much.

Gently pull the glass at side where the buttons are. Then you can release the screws in the hinges to take off the glassdoor completely.

Quite a challenge to achieve "Less is More" while having the Beovirus.
Thanks for responding, I already tried pull it but it won't move.
It is like the mechanism or some part has out and is blocking the movement of the hinge.
I'm reviewing the mechanical diagram in the service manual to see if I can find out what could have happened inside.
Regards.
