Hi guys - merry christmas to You all.
Using some freetime i want to make one Beosound 9000 Mk2 coming back to real life again.
Behaviour: When connected to AC, red light comes up. No reaction on any button, neither the lid opnener, nor the CD, nor any of the ones in the door.
BUT: When using a Beo 4 it plays radio, i can change volume, jump top the CDs, play them.
So i run TM 27 and sometimes i got errors in ML ERR32, CD Err 2, IIC Error 104, SLC Error 42, APS Error 14 and 15. PWR Error 20. As tehre are some old ones in the cache - after deleting the errors, only the CD Err the pwr err and the slc err comes up again.
TM71 ran perfectly.
As everything else is working fine - is there maybe just a cable which is disconnected (all buttons to the PCB or so?

I had a similar problem on one of my BS9000s and it turned out that the cable from the keyboard had come loose at the PCB connector (PCB 3, connector P13) or it might have been P71 on PCB13 (secondary keyboard) but I think it was P13 on PCB3.

unfortunately it isn’t that easy. I was hoping for a quick win.
i checked mentioned cables and now I am one step worse.
still no button response and now
only radio is working.
Tm27 does show the slc err, but in tm71 the whole unit shuts down after opening and closing the door.
Before my opening, tm71 was running quite good. what did I made wrong?

Update
you need to put the glass on.
now tm71 runs through and states ok.
i can now play radio and cds with the remote.
buttons still dead

Are you sure the keyboard is correctly installed? Sometimesput it can look like ok but it is only hold by the magnets and not correctly put.
If correctly installed, maybe you could try to clean the contacts on both sides, or see if any key is stuck?

Really curious - never saw this behavior before.
i could live without the keyboard, but always opening the lid by hand (against the spring) doesn’t make fun.
what I also don’t understand. Why both sides don’t work, assuming they are not connected via one cable

So, I dismantled close to everything. What a mess.
followed the cable from the lid opening and cd buttons to the respective pcb.
attached and loosened it all several times.
assembled everything together and …
… nothing. No change. This beosound currently just wants to be controlled remotely.
Doesn’t want to be touched directly ?
i think now, I need a replacement pcb, just don’t know which one.
i think I checked all TMs

I would focus on the Primary Keyboard and put a scope P72 or P12 connector and check that the signal correct routing occurs when each button is pressed.
I happens sometimes. Not often.
It then happens that one of the ic's on the board underneath the cover has died.
Replace the PCB or just the defective ic.
