Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been working for 50 years now on HiFi-equipment, i'm specialised in Braun HiFi. But since Braun is design-oriented, once in a while similar brands like Revox and B&O come my way. Today my challenge is a BeoSound Century, tape and radio doing fine, but when playing a CD, no sound comes from the speakers. The CD is recognised by the mechanism, it plays and the display shows tracks and time, it's just like I didn't push the right input button. Copying on tape also fails, the tape will be erased, but no sound, while taping radio transmissions works fine. The set seems like never being opened, the connecting cable from the CD mechanism to the amp is in place. I wanted to check if there's a signal on this cable, but it's quite hard to reach the connector #25. Has anyone ever had that problem before, do you folks think it's a problem of the input circuit of the amp or the DAC on the CD board or is there some hidden mute function I've overlooked? Thanx for your help, Robert
