BS 4 -> BV 6-26 -> BL 4000's

I have the above units linked, BS4 to BV by masterlink and then to beolab 4000'd by power link,, the tv is the master. The system has not been used for some time, tried it this morning, tv working with tv sound, radio, cd  functions appear to be but no sound from the speakers. My intention is to start from scratch so to speak linking the speakers to the BS4 to see if the units talk to each other, then clean all plugs and sockets with contact cleaner. Anyone out there with other suggestions?
Hi stotty1111, are you positive that the TV and the BeoSound are in the right option setting?

Have done a little work, speaker options are 3 fold, vid on 2 aud on 3 (the 4000's), It all used to work fine, but now the speakers do not fire up so to speak  --  i have got the various sources working and producing sound when prog'd to option 1 , the tv speakers. I have now found some pl cables, will try the 4000's with my ouverture later!
Ok, so the dot button I assume is the off button  on a Beo 4  --  am i correct? I have a crib sheet somewhere, but I cannot lay my hands on it at the moment!
Doohhh Mr Stupid here!! Ok thanks for that! I'm now off to put my head in a brown paper bag, it may work better in there!!  :-()
So have re prog'd the tv and BS 4, still no sound from the 4000's, so, tried 'em with my ouverture which is working fine, prog'd as a standalone, booted the system - still no sound from the 4000's. I assume there is a switching relay inside each speaker, is it mechanical or electronic, if the former may be accessible to squirt some cleaner on the contacts etc if the covers are demountable. I await access to the manuals section for more info on the 4000's!
The original BL4000s have a little power switch (combined with light indicator) on the front. Have you pressed that? (if there is one!) It should light up in red in standby, and then turn green when the speaker turns on.
