Hi!
I've been handed a Beosound 3000 (small clamper) with SW 1.1 which doesn't work.
I have no sound from any output, Powerlink, Aux, Masterlink or headphones. Beolab Speakers turn on however.
Tested radio and Aux input outputing to powerlink, masterlink and headphones
Tested aux input outputing to an external amplifier and headphones
No sound whatsoever.
The CD shows two symptoms:
Sometimes it spins a few times and the clamper opens with Load CD message. Other times it does a bit more revolutions and a message CD <> appears.
Checked the SW version using test mode 23
APP 1.1
OS 12.02a
IOP 15.0
TUN 1.1
CD 2.2
I've entered test mode 27 to check for errors and have the following:
1 CD 3
2 CD 6
3 CD 3
4 CD 0
5 CD 0
ALL 0003
1 IO 1
2 IO 1
3 IO 1
4 IO 1
5 IO 1
ALL 0194
Everything else is OK
Can someone point me in some direction on how to sort these faults out? Is it repairable
I'd like to address firstly why I don't have any output from any source. Probably related to the IO 1 error ( IIC 1 2 Error from service manual). Searched the forum and found nothing.

Sorry to say , and I "might" be wrong, but the answer is – NO –
BS3000 Small clamper are well know for "fried IC" issu.
I Believe there is a solution, involving buying new, custom made IC's but I think it not worth the hassle.
I Sympathized (got one too that made a very good facia for a cheap and aesthethicaly wasted BS2300.

That's unfortunate to hear. So I might have a glorified paperweight or a potential parts donor.
Some questions are still brewing in my mind:
- Is the small clamper more prone to frying ICs than the large clamper? and why? Thought the differences circuitry were not that big. At least on the preamp board which seems to be the same in Ouverture/3000 and 3200
- From looking into the service manual I'm pointing at IC1, IC2 and IC4 in the preamp board. Apart from IC4 which I could not find new, only NOS replacements, the others are still available.
- IC1 - CD4052
- IC2 - CD4094
- IC4 - TDA7318D
- You talk about custom made ICs. How is that possible?
Hello, have you tried giving a "fingertip" signal to R93 and R91? Maybe you have the TR42, TR64, TR60-64 transistors driven, i.e. the MUTE signal from IC1?
