I have a Avant 55 Mk1 and motorized stand to dispose of.   When the replacement video main board failed, all other aspects of the unit seemed to be working fine.  Now the question is what to do with these pieces of equipment.  Boat anchors? I have considered salvaging some parts/subsystems from the Avant,  but I don't know if it is worth the trouble.  For example, the Avant55 has a nice sound system - is it possible to pull the speakers and amplifiers out and build a custom cabinet so the speakers can be used in a workshop?  If so, does anyone have the circuit diagrams that would provide the wiring required?  As for the motorized stand,  has anyone found a way to use the stand independently from the Avant?  Thanks for your thoughts.
