BeoVision 12 NG questions

Hi fellow members It has been a long time since I have discussed B&O in this forum. I just took delivery of a lovely used BeoVision 12 NG with BeoSystem 4 from my dealer. There is almost no info on this set on the web due to its short lifespan and high price. I have two main questions:
  1. There are a lot of horisontal stripes on the screen even when it is turned off. I have a Panasonic GT50 in the basement (should be more or less the same panel) and this one is perfectly "dark grey" with no lines. I have tried to run the "eraser" on the BV12 but this do not help on this problem. Is this normal to have these lines? I have had a few plasmas over the last 15 years and none have had these lines.
  2. The black levels are not as good as the GT50. Heck they are not on par with the Kuro 9th gen I had before the Panasonic GT50. The black bars at the top and buttom are more dark grey than black when watching movies. I am a bit confused here.
I have attached some images. I really hope that someone who has the BV12 or has seen it in action will be able to tell if this is "normal" for this set.
