I just aquainted a BV Avant 32 DVD type no. 8460 SW 13.0
It looks almost new, and I would love to use this TV. But I run into issues.
When I got it at the seller, it said ENTER PIN. As it was a house clearing of someone dead, the pin was taken into the grave. So I took it without further testing.
The local B&O shop gave me the master pin, so I was hoping to continue with that number.
But after powering it up, it shows weird behaviour:
- Pressing DVD and play, yes, a DVD was left inside, the player starts spinning, and the music comes out of the huge speakers. Volume control works. I see nothing on the display though.
- Pressing TV makes a nice degauss-sound, and shows WAIT on the LED display, this is visible for a bit over a minute, and then it shuts off.
- While the TV is in wait, smashing the buttons on the remote sometimes brings me to some sort of tech-info screen, white text on black, which looks good, no distortion or fringes, just clean white text. No idea what I can do here.
- The PIN request did not show up again.
