If they fit S45 they should fit S55 as physically they are the same width (21cms)
I have a pair of S55 in nice condition. Woofers needs re foaming. Would one of you experts suggest I just replace with these or stay with the generic ones??

Stay with the original and have them refoamed.
They are unique for these models.
6,4 Ohms if I remember correctly.
Size is not everything when it comes to speaker drivers. Look at the list of T/S parameters.

Martin Ive read the importance of gluing the magnets; do you apply a bead of glue at the top of the magnet where it slips inside the holding basket??
