Looking ahead...
The server migration is only the beginning. For quite some time we've also been working on the next generation of Beoworld. Rather than simply refreshing the existing website, we're building an entirely new platform from the ground up. This isn't just a redesign—it's a complete rethink of how Beoworld works, while preserving everything that has made it such a special place over the last two decades. One of the biggest changes is that the new site is no longer based on WordPress. Whilst WordPress has served us well over the years, moving to a purpose-built platform gives us far greater flexibility and allows us to build features specifically for the Beoworld community, without relying on countless third-party plugins. The new platform will bring a number of long-term benefits, including:- A faster, more responsive website on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Improved stability and reliability.
- Enhanced security through a streamlined, purpose-built architecture.
- A cleaner, more modern design and user experience.
- Better search capabilities.
- Features designed specifically around the needs of Beoworld members.
- A platform that's easier to maintain, extend and support for many years to come.
Bringing over 20 years of knowledge together
One feature we're particularly excited about is the future of the forums. The current live forum will, of course, be migrated to the new platform, but we're also bringing across the content from both of our archive forums. This means that decades of Bang & Olufsen knowledge, repair advice, technical discussions, product information and member experiences will all be available together within one modern community. The archive forums themselves aren't going anywhere—they'll remain online exactly as they are today, preserving the original discussions and ensuring nothing is lost. However, their content will also be integrated into the new Beoworld, allowing members to search historical and current discussions from one place. Our aim is to create not only the best Bang & Olufsen community on the internet, but also one of the most comprehensive Bang & Olufsen knowledge bases anywhere in the world.Thank you
Finally, I'd simply like to say thank you. Whether you've been part of Beoworld for twenty years or joined us last week, thank you for helping make this community what it is today. The willingness of members to share knowledge, offer advice, restore classic products and help fellow enthusiasts is what makes Beoworld truly unique. I'd also like to extend a special thank you to all of our Sponsors. Your continued support helps keep Beoworld online, funds investments like our new infrastructure, and makes ambitious projects such as the new platform possible. The future of Beoworld has never looked brighter, and I can't wait to begin sharing previews and updates as development continues. Thank you all for your patience, your encouragement and, most importantly, for continuing to make Beoworld such an incredible community. Here's to the next chapter of Beoworld.
