Hi Beoworlders, I have prepared a video explaining an easy repair for Beolab Penta speakers that ANYONE can do - now you can bring your dead speakers back to life with this easy hack!

Hi Steve the same can be done with BL3000, 4500 or 5000. Furthermore a MCL2P or BeoLink Passive or Beoamp 1 can be used with Beosound’s which only have PL out to use these Penta’s or BL3000/4500/5000 this way.

I do respect the commitment that people have to these speakers 😁 I would not call this ‘a hack’….it is simply a description of how to use a (B&O) speaker, that had an external amplifier module, which failed. Back in the yesteryears I did that with my 5000’s - I used a Beolink Passive to power them. Some might still know that Peter Pan was a huge proponent for the Pentas. He had a pair connected to an ICEPower module for many years (he even had a spare set i the basement….just in case).
