I’ve been away from the forum for a number of years (working abroad) and have recently returned.
My beovision 9 seems to be experiencing a few bugs such as the camera which adjusts the colours not working so suspect it’s on the way out. In anticipation I’m looking for advice on replacing with a second hand B&O set. The beovision is currently connected to a Beosound 9000, Beolab 9’s, Beolab 2 and Beolab 8000’s. The replacement would need to be able to connect and work with this B&O set up.
The budget is probably around £3k. I’ve searched the forum and have seen that the avant suffers from screen issues and the eclipse generation 1 also has screen anomalies. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi London Joe, and welcome back!
I trust there are some nice B&O TVs to be found, but an option could be to re-purpose the BeoSystem 3 that is integrated in the BV9, and use it with a modern third party TV. You can feed the audio from that screen into the BS3 and enjoy its surround sound, as well as keeping all MasterLink integration you have right now. I do this with an LG screen, using the LG as the 'video hub' (with an Apple TV connected) and the BS3 as the 'audio hub' (with my ML/NL system). You will have to deal with two remotes unless a dealer can help and load a PUC file into your BS3. You will need an S/PDIF converter (optical to coax) most likely, and a suitable B&O IR eye. Just to make sure you consider this option too.
