Hello – can an ASE product (like a Beosound Stage) share its sources with the rest of a link system?
i.e. share Airplay and Spotify Connect to other products connected on my system (NL/ML converter and a Beosound 9000 and connected ML link speakers).
Is this possible? I.e. be able to turn on the airplay/spotify connect source (connected to the Beosound stage) from a ML link speaker in another room?
ASE products, can they share their sources?

You cannot share Spotify with a NL/ML converter because Spotify can only be shared with other speakers licensed Spotify which the NL/ML is not.
Airplay should not be a problem, but I don't use Airplay so I do not know for sure. I regularly share Deezer from a ASE BS1 and the line-in from an ASE BS2 with my BS9000 via NL/ML converter.
Thanks Stan, yes if I would be sure I could connect to a Beosound Stage with AirPlay, and listen to this in another link room (via NL/ML converter and otherwise ML infrastructure) that would be brilliant.
Presumably that would allow me to skip to the next song from the kitchen with my Beo4?
Does anyone have experience with this?
@BeoMedia,
I borrowed my wife's iphone and verified that one CANNOT share Airplay from an ASE (BS1) or Mozart (Balance) device to a ML device (BS5) via ML/NL converter. Some sources, you can switch. If I'm listening to Deezer or B&O Radio, and start my turntable, then the audio sent to the ML device changes to the turntable. However, with Airplay, the ML device switches off as soon as I start playing Airplay on the linked ASE/Mozart device.

Many thanks for checking this out. That is a shame but very useful to know.
This, is, however, my workaround:
1. Attach a streamer to ML/NL converter. Have the ML/NL converter on Aux-In autoplay. I use a $99 Wiim Mini.
2. AirPlay to that streamer.
3. Sound starts playing on the BL6000's I have directly hooked to the ML/NL.
4. JOIN my Beosound Essence to the ML/NL.
5. JOIN my Beoplay A6.
This is my preferred setup. However, I have also tried this: connect a streamer to an ML device such as my Beosound 3000 via Aux-In. On Beo4, select A.AUX. Airplay to the streamer. Sound starts playing. JOIN the experience to the other devices on your NL network.
I also tested Bluetooth, and it operates the same as Airplay. Send BT to a BS1 casting to ML, and ML device shuts off.
The external streamer solution sounds very reasonable, or you could also switch to Deezer vs Airplay.
