I'm still interested in thoughts about what my next upgrade should be. With a Theatre with x6 BeoLab 9 speakers and a BeoLab 2 (that's already quite a lot of bass), would a Beolab  19 really give me any LFE improvement? Would I be better focussing on upgrading the x4 Dolby Atmos height channels from BeoLab 4000 to either BeoLab 3 or BeoLab 17?

A lot of us would be happy to have a setup like yours I see no real point in changing from BL2 to BL19….unless you have money to burn. Honestly 6xBL9 should provide enough and bass in the room….…..even without the BL2. But what do I know 🤣 P.S. I would not change the BL4000’s to BL3’s - if at all, then to the BL17’s. MM    

As someone who has always hated the Beolab 2, I would say that a change to a Beolab 19 would be a huge upgrade! When it came to music, the Beolab 19 impressed me with its well-balanced, tight and tuneful bass on the couple of occasions I have heard it. The Beolab 2 just seems to boom randomly along about half a second behind the rest of the frequency range.

Not sure the Beolab 2 is that bad  😀 but I know what you mean - I found it fine with a TV and added to the sound but certainly less good with music. I have Beolab 5s now so no need for a subwoofer - relegated to playing with some Beolab 4000 in another room!

I always heard the BL2 is boomy. Plus the 19 looks super cool.

Yes, the Beolab 19 offers tighter, more precise bass and better integration with modern setups. It's a worthwhile upgrade over the Beolab 2. Thanks and regards pawantanwar

I am part of the Beolab 2 team. Having had both at some time thinking to replace the 2 with 19 prefering it designwise, I finally sold the 19 after a few weeks and decided to stick on the 2 because it was fitting better soundwise with my other beolabs (8002 and 6002). But (because there is a but), you need to take time to adjust the settings AND position in the room properly to get out the better of it And I am using my B&O stuff mainly for music.
