Hi all,
I just bought a second hand pair of beolab 3 which sound great but are pretty dirty. I have cleaned them as best I can, including removing the obligatory specks of white paint (why do all second hand speakers have this?!), but the rubber surrounds I have noticed have a sticky feel to them, making dusting difficult.
I assume this is not how they were at release?
Does anyone have any tips on how best to treat this issue? They sound great but I'd like them to look their best too...

Hi and congrats on your ‘new’ speakers.
There are lots of questions (and answers) on the Beoworld Forum (and elsewhere) to this subject.
Have a look
Isopropyl alcohol is the short answer…..to clean this (and a lot of other products from the same period).
Best thing to do is to disassemble the units…..and get on with the job.
It is hard work!
