BeoLab 3500 MKI to BeoLink NL/ML
19 replies
Hey Beoworlders,
I have a spare BeoLab 3500 and a spare BeoLink NL/ML laying around. I thought I. Ould connect the BeoLab 3500 to the BeoLink NL/ML to get sound in my Garden shed that has LAN. Sadly it is not working.
The BL3500 is my last Masterlink Product and I would love to use it to listen to radio and music from the network.
I have a BeoSound Core in the living room that could serve as an Audio Master?
I hope you have an idea how I can get the setup up and running.
br,
Tim
p.s. I do not own a Beo4 but I have a spare BR1 (IR) for the garden shed.
Since you have no audio or video master on your masterlink side, you need a master link power box. B&O part # 8052447.
You can read more about it on pg 29 of the BeoLink Handbook http://beointegration.com/uploaded/EN-BeoLink-handbook-v1-7.pdf

As for the NL/ML converter settings. If you set it up as a Audio Master you can choose to distribute the Core sources to ML Audio source names like CD, A.MEM, Radio, N.Radio, or N.music or what ever is easiest to control with the Beoremote one.
Thanks for your replies. I will now look for a BeoLink 1611.
meanwhile I found a Beocenter 2 in the Garage. Can I directly connect the Bl3500 to it without main speakers? Would help in the meantime.
That should work provided the correct option settings have been use previously.

which option settings would I need to set? Can I use a BeoRemote One IR for it?
Try to look at page 14 here /api/files/b9db7e7e59874d5ab9eb10fda5459c2d
that should explain how it is done with a Beoremote One

I just did install the BC2 with the BL3500 and was able to set the option settings. Sadly I hear no sound. I can control the Bl3500 and the BC2 turns on, I can increase the volume but then nothing is happening. Any ideas what the problem could be?
I hear a shoe crackl sound when I turn the Bl3500 on but the nothing. Any ideas what this can be?
