If I have to replace my faulty amp, is a Beomaster 3000-2 compatible with a Beogram 1202? Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

I very briefly ran that exact combo for a few months. IIRC my 1202 did not have a phono pre inside so I'm assuming the
There are two phono inputs on the 3000-2 and after a quick google refresher, it seems one has a phono preamp and the other is a normal aux in designed for turntables that have their own pre etc.
