BL18 End of Life

I noticed today on the B&O website that the Beolab 18's have been removed and when I searched for them I found the note saying they are end of life. Surprised to see this, given I thought they were rather popular, and the price jump to BL28's is pretty steep. Should we expect to see something new coming?

It doesn't surprise me.  The BL18s have been around for quite some time.  All that fancy aluminum probably made them too expensive to produce in today's world. I guess us "poors" can always go for the BL8s. :) I just saw a press release that they fired their CEO so who knows what is next.

I love the 18's they are my fave B&O product ever. But they were also dumb speakers and I think B&O wants to move to all Mozart based products.  From my understanding the BL8's sound just as good if not better than the 18's but personally I think the 18's looked much better.  Sorry to see them go.
