I have a DVD1 that I've had for years and not really used it much. I tried playing some CDs on it and it works great but I want to hook it upto a better DAC to get better sound quality. I connected a really cheap DAC that I bought a while ago to it via the Digital Out and I get no sound. I checked that the output in the on screen settings are set to Stereo but still nothing. It works fine on the analogue outputs. Has anyone done this before and had good results or am I better just getting a CD player? It seems a shame not to use it as it's in full working order and excellent condition.
