Modern tv’s (but not all) have an optical digital output, that can be used with the Core. No modern tv has analog audio output and - for the Essence - you’d have to use a Digital to Analog Converter in addition. However every (modern) tv has a HDMI/(e)ARC socket. That is what is used on the Hall Audio Streamer. It is more reliable, turns on/off with the signal. (That is the port used with soundbars). You simply use the original tv remote. So, the BS Core can be used - however, those, who are willing to spend what that costs, will rather buy the Connect Core instead…. …..a device that B&O waited very (too) long to introduce and that basicly does, what the Hall Streamer does with the addition of being able to work inside the Beolink network/the Mozart platform.
