Background:
Found seller for BL18/19 but its connected to his wider B&O system. He wants to ensure post disconnection the rest of his system (Eclipse/Celestial/think i saw a core look alike) continues to function fine.
I am contemplating either getting B&O to help with the disconnection/reinstallation but they quoted me $500. Wanted to explore if i could do this myself.
I've been scouring the BL18's manual/web/youtube for advise but discussions relating to wall mounted BL18's are thin. The manual being vague does not help either. Appreciate if anyone can provide advise on this front.
Questions
- Would it be as simple as plugging out the wires and the rest of his system would continue to function?
- What tools do i need to bring along for the dismantling of wall bracket? (eg: Screw drivers)
- How do i dismantle? My guess based on the manual is remove the front lamella to expose wire connection into BL18, remove wires, lift the beolab18 out and place on a soft sheet, unscrew the wallmount, remove wires from hub. - wondering if this correct?
- From the perspective of sound quality, is it recommended for the wall backing to be concrete? Or would a reinforced partition board be fine?
